Many thanks to all for the compliments on this interview. I have long thought that Rich Bohn gives the most realistic, practical, and objective advice about what makes CRM projects successful. He made this an easy interview for me. I strongly endorse his website for anyone seeking objective, useful advice about CRM technology: http://www.sellmorenow.com

Tim and Rich,

This was a very good interview. Great questions and terrific answers. Rich is exactly on target when he talks about taking an evolutionary approach to CRM and solving the immediate pain points to stop the 'bleeding.' Just what we expect from Rich - reasonable, practical and cost-effective advice.

Tim/Rich - fantastic podcast and we're honored to be part of the conversation. We've found that when a company's sales process isn't well defined or a good one isn't followed by sales reps, it doesn't really matter what technology solution you put in place - it's gonna break! Once sales reps buy into the process, they need tools that automatically educate and move prospects along the path towards closed business. Reps can still work their magic to close deals... but why continue to do all the mundane tasks as leads move from stage to stage within a rep's process? When you introduce tripwire & drip marketing, now reps can focus on closing deals instead of doing the gruntwork. This is probably the biggest hole in CRM systems today: robustness in usable marketing automation tools for sales reps... especially for small businesses.

Tim - You did a masterful job of editing this and I thought it sounds great! I hope your listeners will find this useful. Thanks again!

Regarding Simple Sales Tracking, this was a new one for me. The system just went live in January and they seem to be focusing on their home (Canada) market at this time. I have already added a page on my web site for them and invited them to cooperate with my review process.

I will be sure to check back at this page to see if there are any other comments that require my attention.

More later,

Thanks for that.

A new offering that missed the list is Simple Sales Tracking - http://www.simplesalestracking.com

With free and $15/mth options, it's a good option for Small & Medium Sized Businesses.
